Jordan’s teammate Blake Griffin was way more forthcoming (and way more entertaining) in an accompanying piece about the reported “hostage situation” at Jordan’s Houston house the night Jordan re-signed with the Clips. “All of it was wrong,” Griffin said of the stories that blew up on social media.

Well, hold up: Griffin said the media got one thing right: The crew did order chicken fingers from a local fast-food joint.

Griffin also repeated something some ace reporter had learned that night: “To be honest, the whole thing was pretty boring. It was like a super laid back family party. Some people were watching TV. Some people were playing video games.”

Then, Griffin said, everyone got on a bus and left for the airport after Jordan signed his contract. He didn’t say whether any chicken fingers were left over.
