Streep’s speech has gone viral, mostly for her jab at president-elect Donald Trump. She also took aim at MMA and football, referring to them as “not the arts.”
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners, and if we kick ’em all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts,” Streep said, “which are not the arts.”
