Death Stranding game director Hideo Kojima has been sharing photos taken using the Death Stranding photo mode in the PC version to show fans how it will work. Kojima has stressed that the feature is still in development, and he is considering adding it as an update to the PS4 version of the game. Nothing is set in stone, but it seems as though fan demand for photo mode is partly what’s driving this decision. No specific release details have been announced as of yet, though, so fans shouldn’t get their hopes up until Kojima Productions decides to share more information.

Besides photo mode, Death Stranding on PC is set to have some other exclusive content and features as well. For example, Death Stranding on PC will have a higher frame rate, plus it will have crossover content with Valve’s Half-Life franchise. More specifically, Death Stranding players on PC will be able to get their hands on a Headcrab cap in the PC version of the game.

While it’s easy to see how the Death Stranding photo mode could come to the PS4 version, it’s highly unlikely that the Half-Life content will make the jump as well. The Half-Life content is there to convince people to purchase Death Stranding on Steam, so PS4 owners shouldn’t expect to see that released as DLC, though anything’s possible.

It’s unlikely that all of the new content coming to Death Stranding on PC will come to PS4, but that doesn’t mean that Kojima Productions is done supporting the console version of the game. In fact, it’s been rumored that a Death Stranding story expansion will launch at some point later this year, though nothing official has been announced to date. If such a thing is in the works, it will be interesting to see if it coincides with the Death Stranding PC launch or come a bit later.

The Death Stranding PC release date is this coming June, so fans on PC don’t have too much longer to see what all the fuss is about.
