Specifically, Kojima has revealed a brand new feature that is in testing for the Death Stranding December patch, and it will make cargo transparent when it is obstructing the view of Sam Porter Bridges’ Odradek. Indeed, being able to actually see an active Odradek is key when attempting to avoid BTs, and this change will make doing so much easier when carrying a significant load of cargo.

Additionally, the Death Stranding director has offered further information on the vehicle disposal feature that was referenced in last week’s announcement. Namely, he states that while the developer is testing the ability to dispose of vehicles that are “blocking the way,” this ability will not extend to MULE vehicles. For most players, this restriction should not prove extremely problematic, but it is something that fans will want to be mindful of when maneuvering a vehicle commandeered from these enemies.
With respect to other changes that could come with the December Death Stranding update, there are several “common requests from players” that have not been directly touched on by either Kojima Productions or Kojima. At the top of this list of fan requests are things like a portable music player, a photo mode, and the ability to skip the Odradek animation when encountering Death Stranding’s BTs, and time will tell if any of these items are addressed by the forthcoming patch.
Furthermore, the exact date of the December Death Stranding patch is still unknown, but it seems that players can expect it in the next week or two. This means that fans do not have much longer to wait before learning the full extent of the Death Stranding mid-December update, and hopefully they will be satisfied with what it has to offer.
Death Stranding is available now for PS4, with a PC release slated for Summer 2020.
