Jason Kelley tweeted out a photo of him in a recording booth excitedly teasing his involvement in a new project. Fans wanted to believe that Kelley in the recording booth could mean some sort of Deathloop DLC was in the works, but was quickly shot down by the actor in a follow-up tweet. Deathloop’s timed exclusivity with PlayStation is ending pretty soon but there has been little chatter about any DLC out of Bethesda or Microsoft to celebrate the game going multi-platform.

Jason Kelley’s acting career spans almost 20 years with one-off roles in TV shows. Interestingly, some of his acting appearances include multiple credits as a Barack Obama impersonator. On his IMdB, he’s credited for 4 video game roles: Vainglory in 2014, Doom Eternal in 2020, Deathloop in 2021, and most recently Horizon Forbidden West. His tweet, though it includes hashtags, does not give any pointed hints. All that is known is that it’s a voice acting role and his tweet shows pride for his role as Colt, so it can be assumed its another video game role.
Kelley was in the news in 2021 as he, like many more at the time, struggled to get a PlayStation 5. Bethesda, who has Arkane as a studio but is now under the Microsoft umbrella, hooked him up with a PS5 before the launch of Deathloop so that he could experience the finished product of the game he had been working on.
With so many games now in development or delayed, there’s no way to tell what game he could be in next and how big of a role it could be. Every other video game acting role he has been in has been for a supporting role except for Colt. Obviously, he wouldn’t be able to talk about his next role because of NDAs, but his excitement for this next chapter beams through in his smile.
Deathloop is available now for PC and PS5.
