Deadline announced that Rupp would be joining the series. It is unknown who she’ll be playing, but Rupp had previously appeared in five episodes of WandaVision as Ms. Hart. That may not be her character’s name, however: in WandaVision, several characters had taken on different personas as part of Wanda Maximoff’s Hex.

Rupp, who is soon set to reprise her role as Kitty Forman in That ’90s Show, joins the likes of Aubrey Plaza in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Deadline had previously reported that Plaza will be playing the villain of the piece, and it’s unclear if Rupp will be taking on an antagonistic role. Her character had last been seen shrinking away from the Scarlet Witch in fear, and displayed no sign of any abilities, latent or otherwise.

Rupp is not the only WandaVision actress returning to the MCU. Emma Caulfield Ford is also joining Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and she had previously played Dottie in WandaVision. Some rumors state that Dottie might be revealed to be a witch herself in Coven of Chaos, having assumed a different name in the Hex. If this is true, it’s also possible that Ms. Hart could be another witch, and that she and Dottie will be joining Agatha in the titular Coven.

Joe Locke was also revealed as a cast member for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and many have speculated that he will be playing Billy Kaplan, also known as Wiccan. Wiccan is Wanda Maximoff’s reborn son, and the connections the series has to WandaVision means that the series could be dealing with the fallout from the Scarlet Witch’s attack on Westview. It does appear that the series will explore the magical side of the MCU in depth, but until the plotline and character names are revealed, Rupp’s role remains unknown.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is out sometime this year on Disney+.
