Many current players would know that Stardust in Pokemon GO is one of the video game’s major elements. Pokemon GO players can earn Stardust by completing simple, daily tasks. However, sometimes, the development team implements special events and tasks that boost how much Stardust the game’s community members can collect. Even though a player dedicates a lot of time, and participates daily in Pokemon GO’s activities, being able to reach the maximum amount of Stardust that can be collected in the mobile title can still be impressive.

Showing off how much Stardust they have on their Pokemon GO account, user LeFinalBoss shared a screenshot of their game on Reddit. In the photo, the Redditor showcased their Weedle but highlighted the amount of Stardust under the Pokemon’s basic statistics. According to the image, LeFinalBoss has 999,999 Stardust, and their caption states that they finally achieved “MAX” Stardust in Pokemon GO. Players will likely recall that Stardust is used to power up Pokemon, complete Pokemon trades with other players, unlocking Pokemon Second Charged Attacks, and more.
However, fellow Pokemon GO players were quick to point out that this is not actually the maximum Stardust that can be collected in the game. Comments on the Reddit thread kept mentioning that LeFinalBoss was making a joke, but it seems that many commenters were not able to understand it. One Redditor finally explained LeFinalBoss’s attempt, stating that lower level or newer Pokemon GO players would often mistake 999,999 Stardust as the maximum amount achievable in the game. In truth, some players have collected, and used, millions of Stardust, especially when more is needed at the latter part of the game.
Even thought LeFinalBoss did not reach the maximum cap of Stardust in Pokemon GO, collecting an amount of 999,999 is still pretty amazing. It shows off the player’s dedication and perseverance in playing the game. Hopefully the Pokemon GO fans who have Stardust in the millions will also share their own screenshots of how much they have collected. This would definitely make for great conversation and engagement within the mobile game’s online community.
Pokemon GO is now available for Android and iOS devices.
