Skyrim is considered to have some of the deepest lore in an open-world game, and much of that is conveyed through hundreds of books scattered around the game world. There are currently about 820 pieces of readable literature available in Skyrim, including letters, spell tomes, and journals. Roughly 307 books serve to expand the game’s world, culture, history, and other forms of lore.

Redditor purvismhjyi23 shared a screenshot of their very full in-game library alongside an announcement that they had collected every book in Skyrim. This isn’t the first time someone has set out to gather all of Skyrim’s lore books, but it may be one of the first times someone has succeeded. In the screenshot, the books are being stored in a cozy tower room with wood floors, a large rug, and a ladder for access.

Skyrim players have discovered that placing many similar items in the same spot can lead to hilarious glitches, and books are no exception to this rule. Purvismhjyi23 got around this by placing the books carefully inside a number of bookshelves, five of which are visible in the screenshot. Although the books are displayed as though they were shelved haphazardly, with several thinner tomes leaning sharply to make sure they take up the entire shelf, it’s clear that the library is indeed full. Apparently, each shelf on a bookshelf holds about 11 books.

It appears that other Skyrim fans are deeply impressed by purvismhjyi23’s achievement. Several users discussed how players who want to imitate them could find unread books in Skyrim using mods. Another user joked that they would cast Unrelenting Force, the infamous Fus Ro Dah Dragon Shout, and send the book collection flying everywhere. Reportedly, 380 books can be stored in the library tower, so the 307 lore books would have no problem fitting into the space available. It might be harder to purvismhjyi23 to show off their book collection in such a tidy manner if they included the other 500 or so pieces of literature found in the game.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
